About Dannielle

Dannielle was born in Southern California one month after her mother’s first tap recital. She began dancing at age 3, training in Cecchetti ballet technique, tap, jazz, and even hula. Her first recital role outside the womb was a baby lobster in “Les Poissons-The Little Mermaid,” and eleven years of Nutcrackers culminated in a highly athletic turn as the Rat King, a role she reprised twice.

She caught the musical theatre bug at age 12, after overhearing a fellow student discussing the drama class at her middle school. Her typical preteen “dark phase” contrasted starkly with her first musical production: Fiddler on the Roof.

In high school Dannielle attended the Academy for the Performing Arts, where she double majored in musical theatre and modern dance. As a senior she performed in (and choreographed for) approximately thirty individual productions, and closed out her time by graduating with honors and the first ever awarded “Triple Threat of the Year.”

Dannielle received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from California State University, Fullerton. Throughout college she worked at various regional and dinner theaters around Southern California (thrilled to finally be paid for her passion, even if it didn’t yet pay any bills).  During this time she was introduced to two of her beloved vocal teachers and mentors, April Malina and Kimberly Kanitz, who themselves studied respectively with Florence and Seth Riggs.

One year after graduating from college (a year spent mired in the restaurant industry), Dannielle was hired as a classic showgirl in Donn Arden’s Jubilee!, a highly acclaimed and celebrated fixture on the Las Vegas Strip. There she danced with many of Vegas’s most beautiful and skilled dancers (as well as resident headliners Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez), in spectacular Pete Menefee and Bob Mackie designs. Dannielle also had the bittersweet honor of being a member of the final cast of Jubilee!, which closed in 2016 after nearly 35 years on the Strip.

Dannielle most recently appeared as Miss Kitty in the beloved Grizzly Gulch Welcome Wagon Show at Hong Kong Disneyland. While in Hong Kong she also had the opportunity to host Disney special events such as the Sales Excellence Awards and Magic Access Member productions.

Outside of performing, Dannielle is a lover of cats, fat historical fiction and fantasy books, spider solitaire, yoga, and standup comedy. She currently resides in New York City, where she is honing her craft in Broadway Dance Center’s Training Program.
